In the middle of the pack, Programa is genuinely competitive: at three and five seats it undercuts Studio Designer on every tier and lands within a few dollars of DesignFiles. Its seat fee ($31 on annual billing) is also the cheapest add-a-person price of any per-seat vendor in the table. The gap that never closes is against flat-per-firm pricing — at five seats Programa costs $66/month more than NYA, and the difference grows with every hire after that.
The currency detail almost everyone gets wrong
Programa is an Australian-founded company, and it runs separate regional stores with genuinely different prices — not just converted ones. The default page shows plain dollar figures with no currency code; the Australian store adds a note that prices are "exclusive of GST," which pins those figures as AUD.

This is why the aggregator numbers are such a mess. Figures like "$47–$59 per user" circulating in search snippets match no current price on any Programa store — they look like stale data or AUD rates mislabelled as USD (A$63 converts to roughly US$41; A$79 to roughly US$52). If a page quotes a Programa price without saying which currency and which billing toggle, it is guessing.
Trial terms and the fine print
- 7-day free trial with full access, no credit card required. Programa's own FAQ states this plainly, and it is one of the shorter trials in the category — plan your test week before you start it.

Don't confuse the studio plan with "Pricing for Brands"
Programa also sells a separate product to furniture and materials brands who want their catalogues inside designers' libraries. Those plans start at $1,500 a year (Premium) and run from $3,750 up to $10,000 a year (Premium+). If you are a design studio, none of that applies to you — but it shows up in search results and has confused more than one pricing summary into reporting four-figure Programa costs.
