How to cancel Houzz Pro: the 30-day notice rule and the 12-month term

Cancelling Houzz Pro is partly self-serve, but the 12-month minimum term and the notice window decide whether you actually stop paying. What its own pages say, checked 2026-07-29.

Two different things get confused here: ending the auto-renewal, and getting out of a term you have already committed to. The first is straightforward. The second usually is not.

Where the cancellation controls are

Cancellation is partly self-serve — you can start it from your account settings under Subscriptions, and Houzz also publishes a cancellation notice form. That part is not the obstacle.

The obstacle is the term you agreed to

If you are inside a 12-month minimum term, cancelling stops the renewal — it does not end the current commitment. This is the single most common source of surprise in public complaints about Houzz Pro, and it is stated on Houzz's own page rather than buried in a contract nobody reads.

Before you cancel, do these three things

1. Find your term start date. The notice window is measured against your renewal, not against today.
2. Export anything you need. Client lists, proposals, invoices and project photos. Do it before access lapses, not after.
3. Put the cancellation in writing and keep a copy with a timestamp, so the notice date is not something you have to argue about later.
