Selections, allowances, and the change-order paper trail
Every selection is tracked per item, organized by area, each with its own approval status — so "the clients approved the counters" is a record, not a recollection. When scope moves, it becomes a numbered, priced change order with its own lifecycle, and budget vs actual shows what the change did to the job before the final invoice has to argue about it. Purchase orders, expense tracking, and time tracking sit on the same job, so the cost side never detaches from the work.
The schedule, the site, and the subs
One day-grouped schedule per job holds inspections, deliveries, and install days. Tasks carry an assignee and a due date. Daily logs keep the site narrative on the project instead of in a text thread, and photos and drawings live in the job's file storage, dated and findable. Collaborators — the install crew, a sub, the millworker — can get read-only project access, so the people executing always see the current set without another seat charge.
Lighting and electrical drawings without a CAD seat

Common questions
Do subs and clients need paid seats?
No. Plans are flat per firm — $49/mo solo, $129/mo for up to five studio seats, $299/mo unlimited — and client and collaborator seats are unlimited on every plan. A sub with read-only project access costs nothing.
Does NYA sync with QuickBooks?
No. NYA does not do double-entry accounting or sync with QuickBooks; it is built to run alongside your existing books. Job-side money lives in NYA (invoices, expenses, budget vs actual, purchase orders, time tracking); your books stay wherever your accountant likes them.
Is NYA a Buildertrend or JobTread replacement?
For design-build remodels where selections and client approvals drive the job, yes — that is the fit. For heavy construction operations that need takeoffs, sub bids, and Gantt dependencies, it is not, and we would rather tell you now than after you migrate.
